Crystal-Clear Water

The better the brewing water, the better the beer. That is the first secret to quality of Fohrenburger. We obtain our water from two in-house wells, from which the crystal-clear Alpine spring water is pumped and used untreated.

The Fohrenburger brewing water owes its purity to its origin - the Arlberg-Silvretta massif. Brewing water is quantitively the major raw material of beer and therefore is often called the "Body of the Beer". Besides its purity, special minerals influence the taste and the character of the future beer.
