Storage

After the main fermentation the young beer has not matured yet. Therefore it is put into the storage cellar, where it can mature slowly and well cooled through the yeast metabolism. The beer matures at temperatures between + 5 and – 1 degrees C in the 14 storage tanks. Each of these tanks has a capacity of 175,000 litres of beer. In this time the very important flavour carriers are generated and unwanted aromas are carefully converted. With approx. 30 days we give our beer a long time to mature.

In total we can store 3.5 million litres of beer in our tanks, this equals 7 million bottles of Fohrenburger Jubiläum.
