How to pour Beer

Before tapping, make sure that the clean glass of beer is rinsed with cold water. This cools the glass wall, less carbonation can escape and the beer holds the optimum drinking temperature longer.

The following rules should be considered when pouring the beer in:

  • Rinse the clean glass with cold water.
  • When tapping the beer, always hold the beer glass slightly slant.
  • First fill the glass to one third, then stop and let the beer settle until the froth has reached a compact shape.
  • Fill the glass completely and wait until the second ring of froth has become compact.
  • Pour the third ring of froth, which finally forms the right "cap".
  • The process of tapping may take up to three minutes.

A good beer doesn't need more!

The same "tapping rules" are just as well valid for bottled beer. If poured correctly, it also foams a beautiful, stable crown of froth. Due to the high carbonation of wheat beer, it is very important to pour it very slowly so that the beer does not swirl in the glass. This would lead to too much froth.

The correct Storage

The fresher the beer, the better the taste. Therefore beer should be stored upright, not longer than necessary in a cool and dark place, in order to slow down the ageing process.
